Welcome to the Joint ICT Section of Computer Science and Information Systems

The Joint ICT Section of Computer Science and Information Systems provides specialised research, hardware and software support aligned with the needs of the individual and joint requirements of the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information Systems.
This site provides resources, or links to resources, that are common to both the Deaprtment of Information Systems and the Department of Computer Science at Rhodes University. Some of these are hosted by the Joint ICT section on our own platforms, others are hosted in a Google Apps for Education domain.

Technical Section Move

The CS and IS technical Section are in the process of moving from the Room 119 area to the Room 021 (was Centre of Excellence Laboratory).
Billy Morgan has moved to Room 022 and Karl Van der Schyff has moved to Room 023.
Please be aware that as a result of changes being effected, specifically changes to data and power reticulation, all of the services that used to be available in Room 021 are currently not operational.

PC Upgrade 2013

Please note that as a result of delivery challenges, we will not be swapping over PCs during December 2012/January 2013.
We have in the past had difficulties in getting PCs swapped over during the end of year period. We are hoping that a later and longer transition time will improve matters.
